There are a few birds, no matter how I try, that manage to always get away.
I have shots of many large raptors, wading birds, owls, and plenty of the birds that take good pictures. But not these.
Green Herons, until this morning, always flew off, hid, or just disappeared whenever I was around photographing.
I wish these had not been sitting with the sun directly behind them, but I’ll take it for now.
A small marsh along the Connecticut river has given me plenty of quick sightings of these birds. Finally a pair left the thick reeds and sat in a tree this morning.
Now on to my next adventure. The Kingfisher that lives right across the trail on the rivers edge.
