Several days ago I published an article showing an Osprey fishing. We had been photographing several other Osprey at the same time. These images are part of the other birds we shot.
August is when the young Osprey learn to fly, dive, and fish for themselves. They still stay together as a family, so if you can get close there will be multiple birds hunting together.
This young bird had caught a fish and was eating in a tree on the bank. There were also several crows interested in stealing whatever they could. He was planted firmly on the branch and did his best to finish eating, ignoring us and the crows.
