Over 3 feet tall with a 5 foot wing span. This is a pretty big bird. However look close here and you will see they can’t weigh much of anything, all bones.


As the summer comes to an end there seem to be dozens in the coves and inlets along the river and shore. I don’t ever remember seeing this many, but no complaints. I’ll photo as many as I can before they head south.
Then I’ll just need to go find them down there.
