Little City is actually the name of a town dating from 1735.

There are 5 families buried here, marked with stones beginning in 1822. A little research on line identified the plain field stone markers as belonging to one of the native american tribes in the area.

Connecticut has hundreds of small cemeteries, most dating back to pre-revolutionary war, along the side roads. It’s unusual to have these small plots identified by old iron signs.
We were looking for another small family cemetery we had been asked to photograph, but the roads were closed. Maybe next time.
