These Dahlias were photographed at the Elizabeth Park, Hartford CT, gardens. The same day there was a show and judging by the Connecticut Dahlia Society. So the flowers and plants were at their peak.
I used various filters when shooting, and of course I didn’t keep any notes. I do know which filters to never use again, or show to the public.
The photo directly above was taken with a green shaded ND filter. The one and only time it was used. Overall it was horrible except for this photo. I think the lens manufacturer included it, and a few others, just to add volume to their product.
Of course it had to be tried, even if it was obvious how bad it would be.
