Fall is the time of year when the Egrets tend to band together. Soon they will move south, but before they do their numbers multiply with the addition of any birds that may have been inland.

If you photograph near the shore in New England you have enough images to last until next spring. Of course as soon as they are gone you start searching even harder to find that one last Egret.
So here are what may be the last group of images before next spring, or we follow them south for awhile. I’m betting a road trip.
