The reeds and red/brown color in the marsh at Rocky Neck had me questioning how clear the images would be. Photographing in the back, off the wooden foot bridge, is not where we usually spend any time.


I was pleasantly surprised to find these shots, even with the rusty water and reeds, turned out clear enough for sharp reflections. Even the slashing was fine.



Earlier in the year everything would have been shades of green. I’m not sure the Egrets would have been very crisp.
I won’t know until next year anyway. The reeds are all brown and the Egrets heading south.
