Early this week I published a single photograph of the full moon rising. The shot was 1 out of around 150, which is typical for me.
I did take a series as the moon slowly rose in the sky. Done at a slow speed and with a tripod I changed some of the settings as time went on. I did this first to get a little better light and also because it gets pretty boring standing there, waiting, and pushing a remote switch.
The following are a few that I liked but did not publish earlier. Each with a little different light and angle.
In this next I discovered faint stars beginning to shine when I processed it.
Wide F stops of 1.8 and 2.2 were used to get as much light at a fast speed.
Now that it’s getting colder these will probably be the last night shots for awhile.
