Early this fall we found a small marsh behind several fields and a swamp. Usually it is inaccessible, which explains why I had never been there.

A few new trails have been cut, I assume to access the fields and perhaps plow next year.
Both photographs were shot end of day, the light falling over the water from between the trees. For a small marsh, surrounded by woods, the water was surprisingly clear and still.

I had a mid-size lens, wrong for this type of work, so I shot at a slow speed to capture as much detail as possible. I was pleased with the results.
