For me photographing Main Street USA is done in black and white, almost gritty. Small towns in the northeast are old and some a little run down in parts. Not this area though.

This Main Street has patches of brilliant color, and of course plenty of people. On a warm winter day it came alive. It wasn’t T-shirt weather for most people though.

Taking a slow walk allows you to see and discover things missed most other days. The buildings were old, however these gathering spots were painted with vibrant colors.
I still did most of my work in black and white, however I see the street here quite differently now. The days photo’s turned out much different than I had expected.
