While on a pier shooting fishing boats at sunset I found a Great Egret. He was sitting down at the far end under an overhang. A person started to get a little too close, invaded his space really, so he was gone in a flash.
My position was perfect to shoot him from the first move off the pier to the final moment when he slipped off over the marsh.
Most of the time I am left looking at a ‘bird butt’ so I appreciate this series all the more.
