This may be one of my new favorites. The photo was taken in a soft rain at high tide. Most of the marsh birds go went to roost waiting for low tide again.
This pier goes over the marsh and ends at an open water creek. I guess at high tide a small boat might be able to navigate out to the sea.
Here a Great Egret and Snowy Egret sat on the pier, a Great Blue Heron on the shelters roof, and just off to the side (out of the photo) sat a Kingfisher. Doesn’t get any better !
