This series of photographs is based on an old, and very large, southern plantation garden. Even now it is beautiful, though some parts have seen much better days.
The bridge above is new but all around the lake and creeks there are old statutes from a past time. Some need to be discovered by chance in the brush or water.
Since the original garden was so large I probably missed many of the smaller statues. I do plan to go back in the fall to photograph everything here, spring would be better but I probably can’t get back that soon.
