This is a bird I could never manage to photograph in Connecticut. It’s not like they aren’t there, I see lots of great shots from the New England shore. Timing was never right for me.
I think the bird above has found a mussel, not oyster. He must want a change since there are oyster beds all along the Carolina coast.
This series of photographs were taken along Pitt street in Mt Pleasant SC. The street runs along a marsh and bay, ending at the foot of an old trolley bridge that is now a small pier.
