These photographs were taken on 2 different days. The same exact location. In fact several previously published Green Heron photos were shot here also.
There are a few other places I go where there is a good chance of seeing one too. A safe assumption could be they are territorial and stay in a specific area until the food source is gone.

Thanks. I have discovered I am not the only one seeking him out. Last time I there was another photographer also had found him. He was setup with a tripod. Surprisingly more people than expected carry a light tripod into the swamps.
We’ve only had an occasional sighting of the green heron this summer and it’s always been beyond my lens’ reach😞
There is always that one bird a little too far. I guess if not we would all take up knitting.
