It’s a good day when I can catch a Kingfisher. The old Pitt Street bridge is usually the place I can find a ‘semi’ friendly one.

The last few visits I found none at all. This trip one was fishing from the old bridge pylons.

Once you find one they have a habit of returning to the same spot after each dive for fish. If you have a good position an in flight shot is possible, but they are very fast.

This trip I did not have a good location to catch any fish dives. But as expected the bird returned to the same look out perch each time.
They are one of the hardest birds to photograph, so just sitting on a scenic perch is fine with with me.
