There must be plenty of food at Donnelly WMA (South Carolina), the spoonbills were still here a few days ago.
In these shots a single Roseate Spoonbill stayed with a large flock of what I believe to be Small Bill Dowitchers.
I liked this shot since both birds have such an ‘interesting’ bill.
It’s not often I get to shoot 2 birds in a single shot…in focus.
Terrific shots. Two birds on my “wish list”.

Mine too. I was paying attention to getting everything in focus. After I took some shots I realized the small birds were probably Dowitchers.
