Several of the old southern plantations in Charleston SC are open to the public. I can equate this to the old castles and manors open in Europe. In short, they need the money to keep them. It’s not easy keeping these huge buildings and land.

The photographs here are from Magnolia Plantation where parts of the gardens are very old (the oldest in the USA), and look it. Probably on purpose. I prefer this area since it gives me the opportunity to shoot things a little different than I normally would.

These are gorgeous images! I really like what you have done with them. I simply must visit Charleston, SC, someday soon. I love historical buildings and grounds and would like to support those here in my own country.
Thanks. Charleston SC is a jewel.
I hope you don’t mind, but I am re-blogging this! 🙂 Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much
