I should title this ‘Why Shoot In Raw’. All of these images were dark. Light was bad and in order to catch anything the shutter speed was at 1/800. Which is slow for a bird with a 7 foot wing span that can fly at 35 miles an hour.
In an image like this cleaning the RAW file is straight forward, and not complicated. And, by looking at just one of the many shots you can tell if it’s worth the time.
