Taking in flight photographs in a swamp can be hit or miss. Early light made it harder than I had thought. All the moss, trees, and greens that look so beautiful while standing there become a confusing tangle in a photo.
The distance between the subject and the background needs to be just right to blur (bokeh) behind the bird.

The light and distance worked OK here, but many shots just a few minutes later…not so much.
Wonderful shot of the heron with the moss and trees forming an interesting background.
Thank you very much. I liked it too, but that’s not always a good sign. I wasn’t sure about it.
