Low Flying Egret

This image was as much about practice, learning, and quick selection as anything else.

A Great Egret flying over a swamp is really hard to resist, even after catching a hundred before. The selection, or decision, part is still hard. That’s really all about what else fills the frame along with the subject… in a second or less.

Yes, I shoot digital which certainly gives me more than film. However, when out for 3 – 4 hours getting 500 + images is normal. That is a lot to work on. And I shoot at a slow speed often.

My partner will have 900 + on any given day! Good luck with that.
