The rookery has been keeping us busy and I am far behind on processing the images. This photograph was taken as the female returned to her nest, still without a constant male companion.
A male does come by, but does not seem to stay long. This is true of several other nests near by. There may be more females than males this year. Which from a male perspective might be really great, right now. Wait until there are all these mouths to feed!
