Evening Anhinga

When not wet the Anhinga is really a beautiful bird. I have taken to calling their feathers ‘fur’ because it almost looks a soft fur.

This photograph was taken early evening. A few Anhinga’s begin the late day fishing at this cypress tree. I try to end my day about the same place to capture images like this and perhaps catch a bird with a successful fishing dive.

    1. Thank you. We have been trying different times of day, subjects, less close ups, and other things to mix up the image types. I love these birds so paying more attention to them. Not as elegant as a heron or egret, but still takes a nice photograph.
