Great Egret Hunting In The Brush

Not many photographs capture the Great Egret hunting in brush or woods. It’s common since egrets feed on insects, lizards, and just about anything else they can catch.

The photograph above was taken at a distance since the bird was actually on an island in the swamp. Also she was walking along the tops of the larger bushes. Large alligators live on this island too.

    1. I think the alligator would need one to just fall right in his mouth here. Fish seem to be plentiful. I caught (bad shots) an alligator with a catfish as big as his head !
