When they are dry, and fluffed up a bit, Anhinga are actually a pretty bird. However, if you look at her feet you will see she is not made for sitting in trees.
I have seen them just fall off a branch. It’s not a big deal for them since they are usually over the water anyway.
I initially thought these Anhingas have fur on their necks. Not a feathery appearance.:-)
The females have the brown feathers, and yeah, looks ‘furry’.
