Transparent Great Egret

A backlit Great Egret landing on a nesting tree. There is so little to these birds they are almost transparent in this light.

Thank you very much. Almost 4 feet tall and weigh almost nothing. If it wasn’t for their sharp bill (and bad attitude) I would wonder how they survive.
