Great Egret By The Nest

This bird settled on a spot just above the nest. Usually branches and even other birds get into the shot. At this point I had an unobstructed view…plus the Egret gave a little show.

I had just changed my cameras metering to ‘evaluative’ so I’m surprised the light was enough. This is more of a spot metering exposure.
