This bird was actually hit by a car. She has lost sight in one eye. However, as you can see that does not slow her down very much.

Currently this bird lives at the the Avian Conservation Center, a raptor rehabilitation center in South Carolina.

    1. Thanks. This place is unique in both size and scope. They breed endangered species, rescue birds, train for falconry and education. Birds are trained to free fly if possible. Twice a year photography day allows us come in and shoot. Its great.

    1. It’s a common problem. This group has hundreds of acres of land, and 500+ birds at any given time. However, many are from breeding programs or in training.
