Most Great Blue Heron nests are difficult to get a good angle. They need to be surrounded by water, high for safety, the normal things. However this nest has all that but is also near enough to get a direct shot.

In the past it has also been a bad luck spot. Young were never born. This year it looks to be better.

Thank you. At first the young weren’t doing well in this rookery. Now there seems to be nests full.

Me too! It’s early yet since this is in the wild but the adults seem attentive.
