What do you do if you are a rabbit (Marsh Rabbit) and are having young? Build a nest of course. It’s wet out there.

The base of a cypress tree was raised out of the water, a split into three trees really. This rabbit was collecting moss and dry sticks there.

With luck this is a good dry spot. The Marsh Rabbit are usually wet so dry is a relative term.

This hare swims as fast as it runs. Lots of reason to do that well in a swamp.
Ted, I think other than alligators and turtles, this is the first animal photo I am seeing from you.
There have not been many lately. In the swamps/marshes we focus on birds. On this site, from the past, there are Bobcats, Deer, Beaver, Muskrats, and assorted other critters. But, yes, not too many lately.
