Below Deck On An Aircraft Carrier

I have taken photographs on the lower decks of this ship before. These life jackets probably more than once. Each time I try for a different angle and this time we used soft flash.

The radar rooms are especially difficult because of the low red lights used.

Using flash did give the final images a different feel, and allowed more options when finishing the look. In the past I shot very slow and hand held. Most details were lost in the photos.

One issue shooting here. The stairs were not made for heavy cameras and back packs. And there are many levels.

Flash shooting helped color work in lower light. But shooting here is really best done in black and white.
