Both the Wood Stork and Roseate Spoonbill have huge wing spans. I think the stork’s is over 6 feet. This means when they are flying close, you hear them, loud and clear.

It would be impressive. Imagine if you weren’t expecting it.
If they are not flapping those large wings, just gliding, there’s nothing to hear… been there and it does make you jump a little.
