Several Great Egrets were near the trails, each made a nice image on their own, but I felt they worked better together. As a series.
There are 3 different birds here.
The first 2 photographs are the same Egret in a Cypress tree.
The second bird was not on any rookery islands, rather he was sitting on the far side of a trail looking towards the islands.
The last Egret was also on a rookery island. This bird was perched close by on a branch over the water.
I doubt I will see this many around the rookeries until next spring. Fishing is easier in the marshes and shore at this time of year.
