I caught this series by chance. Everything I was shooting was in bursts of 10 shots a second. Even an Alligator sitting in the mud half asleep (or so I thought).
Above is the first image in the burst. Maybe 10 – 12 feet of sleeping alligator.
The final shot I pulled the lens back a little. Not a plan really, a reflex habit. When shooting fast if any motion I twist back a little so as not to have anything out of the view finder. Pure habit from missing tons of good opportunities.
I never did see what the big guy caught. Something tiny flowing in the water nearby I guess. If you are that big you eat whatever comes your way.
