The Pelican’s knew how to use Irma to their advantage. The winds and higher tides helped them work closer to shore, where some fish were caught in the rough water.

I did not have any long lens that day but the old 70-300 did allow for some captures. Low light is not the Tamron’s strong suit.

Wonderful photos of these amazing birds. I particular like the first shot of them flying in tandem.
