Roseate Spoonbill, Might Be The Last This Year

The Spoonbills we photographed a few days ago might be the last until spring. Being a sub-tropical bird what we consider great weather is really cold for them.

We are dropping to the 70’s F (20’s C) starting about now.

We plan on making one more trip out to the farthest end of the marsh we can reach.

Colder weather doesn’t last very long here so they will be back soon.

  1. Great photos and always love the information too. I am fascinated by these beautiful birds. I hope I get to see one someday. 🙂 Thanks for sharing to our group.

    1. Thanks for all you do. I think we will try an (very) early adventure tomorrow and see if any are left in the far ends here. Temps will be in the 70’s. I love it, Spoonbills not so much.
