Morning Light, Marsh

The photograph was taken about 1/2 after sun rise. There is a lot going on here besides that early golden color too.

Egrets, I see 2, are starting the morning hunt as well as the 10 Alligators floating around the open water.

    1. The fog had just burned off. It’s a beautiful place and this day the light was perfect. Very little animal activity though. Two days before, dark and drizzle. Hundreds of flocking large birds. Win some, lose some. 😂

    1. These places are almost mystical, but always something to hear…even in the dark. The large birds will croak at times, song birds, and the large Alligators will rumble.

The Alligators growling has been a topic of discussion there lately. May and June is mating season so bellowing is normal then. Not now, yet everyone is hearing it when out in the trails. Best to avoid them when they are excited, but lately it’s been much hotter than normal so perhaps they are confused.
