Great Blue Flying Low

These images were taken a few weeks ago, uploaded to this site, and promptly forgotten. I do remember thinking they were really borderline shots, and I still do. However, I have not been working on a PC for over a week, and these shots were here ready to be added. So please indulge me and my photography obsession.

These were from another dark day and I was using a lens that was both short and slow for this type of shot.

I admit to keeping some borderline photographs when they were taken with ‘all the wrong stuff’ and somehow are really not horrid.

The sign of a good, well disciplined, photographer is being able to be objective and brutal when reviewing their own work before displaying to the public.

I’m just not there yet.

  1. I like the top photo where the wings form an arch that reflects to create a circle. Standard shot with bridges but I’ve not seen it with a bird before! So I found it really interesting 🙂

    1. Thanks. The heron like that is a classic pose, what is the shot we all try for is when the wing tips lightly brush the water. I have a few, but that’s the shot we all want 🙂
