There is a canal that runs along the side of a large marsh / rice field. It may be about 15 feet (4.5 m) wide. It’s small and runs around much this area.
It is perfect for the larger Alligators. The distance between land and marsh makes them comfortable and secure that no one will bother them.

I can’t see who would bother them, but it makes them happy.
An interesting side note here; right behind the Alligators tail there appears to be a large Fire Ant mound. Even Fire Ants don’t bother them.
It’s almost endearing to see one “off duty.” Even tough things need a break from time to time.
LOL, I would still recommend against getting too comfortable with him đŸ˜€.
