Swallows, Hundreds Feeding On The Marsh

I paid them no attention at first. Small birds flying over head. Then more, etc. Finally looking at the far reeds showed hundreds feeding.

They were far, and not a great shot, except more kept coming. At one point the water was covered with small birds.

I’ve never seen this before so of course I took a few (hundred) photographs.

  1. Your photographs inspired a haiku:

    Swallows, leaping from
    water, mirror fish below –
    gators, sly witness.

(there has to be a gator or two watching them, if previous photos are indicators to the surf and turf you photograph!)
