It wasn’t an issue at first. The Wood Storks were on the same trail as me, Alligators too. A closer look and there were Alligators on both sides. So the storks took the middle.

I did too, the storks were ahead of me so why not.

Suddenly they all took off, quickly.

Turns out I didn’t see the third big guy. On my left.

There was still this other on my right.
Now suddenly I was in the middle. While I can’t fly, I can go backwards. Today the trail was theirs. But I’ll be back.
A little close for comfort! How quickly can alligators move?
For a short run, fast as a person and their reflects are lightening. In the water is where they are really fast. Maybe 35 miles an hour.
