This is the second part of the Dolphin Strand Feeding series. There are a large number of photographs, but for such an event I couldn’t not include them.

The pod of Dolphins circled and passed us, within a few feet of shore multiple times. I didn’t think there was even enough depth for them.

The next two attacks happened so fast, and so close, I missed them. The next I was better prepared.

I think the last thing a Dolphin will do before stranding is glance at the shore to confirm it’s safe to beach themselves.

Once assured they splash, actually throw their tails in the air, and herd the fish to shore.
