All the photographs here were taken near commercial shrimp boats. It’s like a free lunch when the boats return from fishing.
These birds were more than happy to wait around, even with me staring at them with a camera.

I agree they are very elegant in flight, especially when several are flying in sync with each other. It is ballet of the sky!
They fly in flocks when the fishing boats come back to shore, and White Pelicans can fly by in the hundreds during migration. Always beautiful.
