This spot has too much traffic. A crossing guard is needed here.

This path sits on top of a dike that separates an old rice field from a marsh. Alligators (many) love both spots.

Most every time I walk down the dike I bump into at least one of the locals. In fact if you look at other Alligator articles on this site chances are you will find the ‘brown spot’ in the path in a few .
The trick for me is to always look left and right, the grasses get high and more than once I mistakenly walked by a large pair of eyes.
