The dry and drab marsh grasses added a nice contrast to this little Snowy. Not a bit of excitement here. The Egret was doing exactly what they do 90% of the time. Sitting and scratching.
I think we might not see any in the marshes at all soon. Colder weather seems to push them to the shore, and a little south.
Got to keep up appearances I guess! The plumage is beautiful and you’ve captured that white so perfectly!
It’s like when they’re not eating they scratch. Unreal !
