Charleston, South Carolina was founded in 1670. It is a rather old city for the new world, and was the wealthiest city in the US until the civil war.
The many churches and old buildings crowd together in the city center making a roof top shot really a combination of old buildings.
I could not isolate what is now the Gibbs museum away from the nearby churches. It did make for an interesting image though.
Lovely aspect of the city you’ve highlighted.
Thanks. We went ‘civilized’ today. Still working with the new gear to know when and where to use it. Nothing with big teeth or moving fast. Tomorrow we push the gear a little. Tundra Swans are nesting in the marshes during migration. It’s cold at dawn, even here, but I’ll try to find some.
