I knew this White Ibis was close behind me but I was following the flight of several Herons. I ignored him as best I could. Obviously not enough.
Turns out I was wrong. What I thought was bad light and too many branches helped, not hurt the shot.
The first image here clearly shows what strange blue eyes they have. A little creepy.

Yeah, and they can be loud. Even though strange they can be pretty. We were out in a swamp a few hours ago and found several that in the dull light were stunning. Freaky blue eyes, but pretty.
