This guy has all his juvenile color and markings. I think he’s a little big for it, so it’s about to change soon to adulthood drab.
He will be dark and brown/grey by fall. And like many adults, a lot wider.

In the past I wouldn’t have considered an alligator beautiful, but this one is.
They are very different when young. Their skin (if that’s what it’s called) is different shades and patterns. When adults it’s big scales.
