These are a few shots taken as we headed out to the heron rookery.

Ibis, normally very loud and shy, have calmly settled in around edges of the cypress tree area. Below a few foraged between the cypress knees (upward roots).

For now the Great Blues have been hunting just on the out skirts of the main rookeries. As more birds move in they will probably need to move further out due to competition.
