Not all the critters around here are big. I do admit thinking there was something a lot bigger moving in the palmettos when I first looked.

Brown Anole are not native to the US, but is here to stay now. They are everywhere. Originally from the Bahamas they were sold as a pet lizard. They are a danger to the Green Anole, a native species, and slowly shrinking their population.

A surprise opportunity. The palms were shaking and I spotted them. Thought for sure it was a bird 😀. I haven’t seen an Anole for at least a month.
